Well Rise of The Tomb Raider is still quite a bit of a ways off, but that doesn’t mean Lara Croft is taking it easy until then. The top-down downloadable action title, Lara Croft And The Temple of Osiris will be out December 9th on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.

Lara Croft And The Temple Of Osiris is the follow-up to the highly acclaimed Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light. The main feature of these titles is that they focus on co-op top down twin-stick shooter-style action. Whereas Guardian of Light had two-player co-op, Temple of Osiris ups it to 4-player. In addition to Lara, players can also choose from rival treasure hunter Carter imprisoned Egyptian gods Horus and Isis.

December tends to be a very dead month in terms of video game releases, so that might be the perfect time to launch a fun smaller downloadable title such as this so it doesn’t get lost in the usual swarm of October/November releases and with a little luck it will help build hype for the next major installment of the Tomb Raider franchise while we wait.
