Conan O’Brien Visits E3 2014 Show Floor

Playing an advanced copy of

Super Smash Bros

for Wii U wasn’t enough to capture the essence of E3 2014, so Conan O’Brien took the show to the E3 showroom floor for a remote segment on the gaming industry’s biggest marketing event. As always, Conan went into the day knowing little about video games, how to play video games or even with an appreciation for most video games. However, that’s what’s make the Clueless Gamer segment so great.

Among the games that Conan showed, featured or mentioned were Sunset Overdrive, Forza 5, Street Luge for Project Morpheus, Entwined, and Hyrule Warriors. Out of all the games played, it seems like Conan had the biggest reaction to playing on the Project Morpheus, as the thrill of laying down, feet first into oncoming traffic seemed to do the trick.

At the end of the day, it was a success for both the show Conan and the distributors from the E3 2014 to get shown early promotional footage for their games. Whether this remote was paid promotion from each publisher who had their wares shown off, as well, remains to be seen.
