Blizzard has become the victims of a widespread DDOS attack that affected North American and European players on Monday night and into Tuesday.

In a post on Battle.net, Blizzard has warned European users that Diablo 3, HearthStone: Heroes of Warcraft, StarCraft 2 and World of Warcraft players may experience disconnections as well as high latency due to “malicious activity”.

Blizzard states that while they weren’t directly attacked by whomever is responsible, the ripple effect has made its way to their games. The company closed by stating that they are “closely monitoring the situation.”

As of 10:30am ET, European players were seeing improvement while North American players are now reporting more problems logging into games after being dropped.
