Rumor: Rainbow Six: Patriots Redesigned from the Ground Up Three Times

Announced back in 2011, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Patriots hasn’t been seen from since that summer. When a game has gone nearly three years without any new information, it’s never a good sign.

It appears, however, that we now know why there hasn’t been new details about the game: it’s constantly being scrapped. According to Superannuation, the game has been redesigned from the ground up an astonishing three times.

Ubisoft revealed to IGN last year that the game had to be remade, but no one expected it to be remade three times.

"We had a core team. They had a good vision. They got started, and then the game wasn’t working. So [they had] to start again,” Detoc explained. “There’s an editorial group in Ubisoft, a big group, very influential. If the game is not good enough, they say it’s not good enough. Most of the time, the team will say, ‘yeah, I know.’ But sometimes they want to continue in a direction where you say, ‘no, it’s not going to work."

GameSided contacted Ubisoft for comment, and received a “no comment” on the matter.
