Assassin’s Creed: Unity Confirmed, Alpha Trailer Released

facebooktwitterreddit

Yesterday it was rumored that Ubisoft are developing a next-gen-only Assassin’s Creed game to be released later this year. It had even appeared that the game was also revealed to someone on NeoGAF on an airplane flight (similar to how Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag was revealed on another airplane flight). Now Ubisoft has confirmed the project, revealing in an Alpha trailer earlier today that Assassin’s Creed: Unity will be coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC later this year.

“We have been working on the new Assassin’s Creed for more than three years and although we weren’t quite ready to show you our full vision for a next-gen only AC, it seems Abstergo are trying to force our hand,” the video description reads. “So here’s a true first look at in-game footage from Assassin’s Creed Unity. Stay tuned – we’ll have many more exciting details for you in the months ahead!”

This is nothing to speak of the other rumor, which indicated an Assassin’s Creed title named “Comet” aimed solely at last-gen consoles. Ubisoft has not made a public comment on that matter, as of this post.

We’ll be sure to keep you up to date on all news coming out of Ubisoft and Assassin’s Creed: Unity. Between this and Far Cry 4, leaks are springing up all over Ubisoft these days.
