SimCity Offline Update Coming Today

The long-awaited update that will finally bring offline play to SimCity is launching today after Electronic Arts finished up its “final testing” over the weekend.

In an announcement on the EA forums, one of the game’s developers revealed the news. “Today at 6am PDT we will be releasing Update 10 with Offline play. This involves server down time and the game servers will be unavailable for a few hours.”

As of 7:20am PDT, EA Quality Assurance was beginning checks of Update 10, servers and offline gameplay.
