In Euharlee, GA, a 17-year old boy was shot and killed by an officer on Friday, February 14 after the officer claimed the teenager pointed a BB gun at her. According to eyewitness reports, however, the young man was holding a controller for the Nintendo Wii.

Christopher Roupe, pictured above, was allegedly getting ready to watch a movie according the family’s attorney Cole Law when an officer, who did not properly identify herself when asked, arrived to serve  a probation violation warrant for the boy’s father.

The officer involved in the shooting is on mandatory administrative leave, which is standard protocol in the event of an officer-involved shooting.
