Dead Rising 3′s 13 GB Update Gets Mega64 Smackdown

dead rising 3 mega6413 GB of data is a lot, especially when it comes in a patch update. So is the case with Dead Rising 3, which makes way for DLC content “Broken Eagle” to hit Xbox One today. Unfortunately, for many gamers in North America, that is a lot of data to download at once, and internet speeds drastically vary per region.

If there is anyone capable of poignantly pointing out such a negative in a positively funny light, it is Mega64. They have done so with their recent video, simply titled, “Dead Rising 3.

If you can’t watch the video right now, the premise is simple. Have one of the main three friends show off Day 1 edition of Xbox One’s Dead Rising 3, highlighting how much better he is for having it than the others. However, instead of going on a silly skit using real public reactions that the Mega64 crew is well known to do (with hilarious results),  subvert expectations with an hour long in-video patch update.

That’s mostly it; highlighted text on an Xbox One screen, commenting in a Big Brother-esque nature parodying Microsoft absolving themselves of any fault. You have to see it to truly appreciate it (skipping ahead is suggested).

Speaking of lengthy updates, do you think 13 GB is too big of a patch for an Xbox One game? Or should gamers start investing in powerhouse cable packages for the future generation of gaming? Let us know in the comments below.
