Alienware to Release Steam Machine in September

At CES 2014 we learned about all of the upcoming Steam Machines being released for the launch of Valve’s SteamOS. Despite being the most secretive in terms of price and specs at the announcement, one of those machines confirmed was Alienware’s own version of the machine.

A week later, more details regarding the gaming hardware giant’s upcoming machine are starting to come out including a release date and possible price.

While presenting at Valve’s Developer Days this week, Alienware announced that its Steam Machine will be brought to the public marketplace sometime in September with a price tag that will be competitive with the other releasing machines. That information leads to speculation that it will cost between $500-$700 at launch.

Internal specs for the system have yet to be released, but we can expect those to come out soon.
