World Of Tanks Gives Out New Year’s Gifts

The past few days have not been pleasant ones for popular online games, “World of Tanks” included. But hey, it’s a new year, so let’s look on the bright side, right?

Wargaming.net is kicking off 2014 by rewarding tankers everywhere with some freebies. First up is the Tier II British Mk VIC Light Tank, specially designed with improved engine performance and firepower, and free to anyone who logs in before January 16.

Want more? Man, that’s getting a little greedy, but you can snag more swag by entering a bonus gift code. All you have to do is watch this video that celebrates the rich diversity of “World of Tanks” players and watch for the code to pop up on the screen of a pretty famous gamer (and by that I mean he’s pretty famous and apparently a gamer) near the end.

Wargaming has something else in the works too: an official e-magazine called “Let’s Battle” that is intended to be “your comprehensive source for all things Wargaming.” Look for it on iOS and Android very soon.

Other holiday specials are still going on too, so this is a perfect time to get some battles in. As long as the servers are up, that is…

Thank you Nick. Greatly appreciate the update. Was World of Tanks affected by the cyber attacks as well?

It was, in one of the earlier attacks. But it seems fine now.
