It was the final year of the Xbox 360 as Microsoft’s top console, but that doesn’t mean the system went out with a whimper. In fact, it was quite the opposite, and at VGX 2013 the system was honored with the Best Xbox Game award.

Up for the award were Bioshock Infinite, Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, Grand Theft Auto V and Tomb Raider. Only one of the nominated games wasn’t a major AAA title, and it turned out to be the game that took home the Vector Monkey as Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons won the award.

This is the first Video Game Award for publisher 505 Games, who also brought non-pc gamers Terraria.
