Xbox One Launch Titles Are Now Gold

With the Xbox One hitting retail and online stores November 22nd, development of the launch games have really come down to the wire. Today, however, Microsoft has announced that Xbox One launch titles have finished development and have officially gone gold, with the process of publishing and shipping beginning right now.

Considering that Killzone: Shadow Fall went gold on October 21st, a full 3 and a half weeks before the launch of the PS4, it does seem remarkably late for Xbox One exclusive titles like Ryse: Son of Rome, Forza Motorsport 5 and Dead Rising 3 to enter the gold status in completion and processing this late into the game.

Regardless, this news is just one more step into the inevitability of entering the next generation of gaming. For a console cycle of gaming that lasted 7-8 years, we welcome every new console with open arms.
