South Park: The Stick of Truth Delayed. Again.

Someone obviously did not respect Cartman’s authoritah, as South Park: The Stick of Truth has been pushed back once again, now planning to be released on March 4th, 2014. More like “The Stick of Lies!”

Granted, a lot of the previous delays were not the fault of Matt Stone or Trey Parker, the creative minds behind the South Park universe. The game was originally to be published by Toy Headquarters (THQ), but the company went bankrupt and sold off their assets to fellow publishing companies earlier this year. It was then later announced to be released this December 10th, but a push back to March might put this game into development hell territory.

Even worse, March is not the best time for the game to be released. Titanfall, Dark Souls II and (depending if it is a late February release) Infamous: Second Son are huge players being released in the weeks ahead or behind the title. It’s either that or release to next-gen game releases and Gran Turismo 6.

Either way, Ubisoft can’t be too happy. They just delayed Watch_Dogs until Spring 2014, and it appears they will do the same with South Park: The Stick of Truth. It will now come out for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC on March 4th, 2014. As a small consolation, here is 7 minutes of official gameplay, seen in an official capacity for the first time.
