PlayStation 4 Confirmed For November 15 Release Date

Today at their gamescom press conference, Sony announced that the release date for the PlayStation 4 will be on November 15 in North America and November 29th in Europe. Based on this revelation, paired with the Xbox One’s confirmed list of launch titles of games released in November, the PlayStation 4 will be the first of the two to be released this holiday season.

This news confirms what VG24/7 reported not an hour before Sony’s conference of a “late November” release. However, this release date goes against what infamous NeoGAF industry insider CBOAT stated last week in a “late October” release after the news that the Xbox One’s launch countries list dwindled to just 13. He is a Microsoft insider who is privy to classified information for the Xbox One and the gaming division, however his reputation as a trusted source may have been tarnished.

With the release date finally being announced, keep in mind that the following titles are previously-confirmed to be PlayStation 4 Day 1 launch titles. Time to save up some money!

-Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag
-Battlefield 4 DICE
-Call of Duty: Ghosts Infinity Ward
-DC Universe Online
-DriveClub
-FIFA 14
-Just Dance 2014
-Killzone Shadow Fall
-Knack
-LEGO Marvel Super Heroes
-Madden NFL 25
-NBA 2K14
-NBA Live 14
-Skylanders: Swap Force
-Tiny Brains
-Warframe
-Watch Dogs
